Biography:

Arthur Helwig, a prominent Cincinnati modernist was a teacher and award-winning artist. He received a formal art education at the Academie Julian, Paris and at the Academy Modern under Fernand Leger. He joined the Cincinnati Art Club in 1930 and served on the Board of Trustees, as Sketch Group Chairman, and as Club President.
